“This piece explores the loop-based style of composition common in many genres of modern music by each instrument’s parts being written in blocks of multiple measures rather than note by note. These repeating cells are removed, combined, layered, and manipulated as whole pieces which leads to three movements of largely groove-based music coming to a head when the flute and guitar use percussive techniques in the final movement.”
